As a full-fledged Ming typeface for long Text, it follows the essence of the era of typesetting and phototypesetting, and is a typeface that has been carefully designed to give maximum consideration to what a Ming typeface should be. Even in offset printing, it has a unique atmosphere that makes it possible to see the ink pools of type.
Distinguishing itself from the wide-ranging Ming-style kanji and kana fonts, this font retains the "stretch of space inherent in the characters themselves" and the "elasticity of the lines." When the characters are arranged, they create a rhythmic, comfortable readability.

Weights LB and RB are typefaces in which not only the vertical strokes of the relatively thin weight of "TsukuMin" but also the horizontal strokes are thickened. They are not simply bold types of weights, but "black types" that appear to be the same Weight as the corresponding weight when printed in white on a black background (background pattern). This is one solution to the problem of blurring of horizontal strokes when using white Mincho fonts in multi-color offset printing by simply making the weight thicker. When used on a white background, the gray density of the paper becomes darker, creating an effect similar to that of a type with a lot of ink applied.
